Not exactly the same, but if you loved playing with building blocks, Lego or other building systems, you'll love this game. It grew into a massive game over the next few years and started a trend that is still going on now with many copy cat games having been released since. I remember buying into Minecraft when it was first released as an alpha many years ago and was enthralled by it's game play at the time. there are singleplayer and multiplayer modes as well as hundreds of community made maps available for download. If you've ever played Minecraft, and loved it, this is definitely a game for you.
